NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORTS AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW AND COMMENT
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF THREE PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) SOLAR ENERGY FACILITIES, GRID CONNECTION AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE, NORTH WEST PROVINCE
Applicant: SRPM Solar (Pty) Ltd, K4 Solar (Pty) Ltd and Marikana Solar (Pty) Ltd
Proposed Activity: The development of three (3) Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Energy Facilities, Grid Connection and associated infrastructure.
Project Location and Description: The Solar PV facilities are located near current Sibanye Stillwater mining operations within the North West Province. Details are available on Savannah Environmental’s website (see link below).
Environmental Impact Assessment Reports available for public review and comment: As per our notification published in December 2022, you are hereby reminded that the Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIArs) in support of each of the Applications for Environmental Authorisation for the solar PV facilities and associated infrastructure have been compiled and are available for review and comment for a 30-day period from Friday, 13 January 2023 to Monday, 13 February 2023.
The EIArs are available for download from the Savannah Environmental website at https://savannahsa.com/public-documents/energy-generation/se3241-sibanye/ as well as the Sibanye Platinum Free Site at: Ulwazi.datafree.co.
