ABO Wind Lichtenburg 3 PV (Pty) Ltd propose to amend the approved Environmental Management Programmes (EMPrs) for the operational Lichtenburg 1, 2 and 3 PV Solar Facilities (DFFE Refs: 14/12/16/3/3//1093, issued July 2019) to allow herbicide use as an alternative for effective vegetation control during construction and/or operational phases. This supports ongoing maintenance, fire risk management, and site safety while the facilities remain operational.
Amended EMPrs is available for a 30-day review.
Review period: 15 June 2026 to 16 July 2026.
